Privacy Policy
Effective October 11, 2026. Zipplee is operated by Custom Ai Apps LLC, a Texas limited liability company (formerly The Exploratorium LLC).
1. Who this covers
Zipplee is software that employers use to run HR work and to communicate with their own employees: benefits information, time off, schedules, approvals, training and company news. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices people have.
When an employer uses Zipplee, the employer decides what information about its employees is held and how it is used, and we process it on the employer’s behalf under our Data Processing Agreement. Questions about an employer’s own use of your information are best sent to that employer’s HR team.
2. What we collect
- Account details: name, work email, job title, department and manager, provided by the employer or by you when you sign in.
- HR information the employer adds: for example time-off balances, schedules, timesheets, benefit plan choices and documents.
- Mobile phone number: only when your employer adds it or you give it, and used for text messages only if you agree to receive them (section 5).
- What you do in Zipplee: pages opened, forms sent, questions asked of Zipp, and the answers given, so the service works and can be checked for accuracy.
- Technical data: device, browser and sign-in records needed to keep accounts secure.
3. How we use it
- To provide the service your employer has set up, and to show you your own information.
- To send the emails, notifications and, where you agreed, text messages your employer’s HR team schedules.
- To keep Zipplee secure, prevent misuse and fix problems.
- To answer questions through Zipp, using only information the person asking is allowed to see.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use employee information for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run Zipplee, listed on our Sub-processors page, under contracts that limit their use to providing the service; and where the law requires it. Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are never part of any sharing for marketing or promotion (see section 5).
5. Text messages
Employers can send their employees text reminders through Zipplee, such as benefit enrollment deadlines, schedule changes and approvals that need action. You receive them only after you agree, and you can stop at any time. The details are on our Text message program page.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency varies, usually no more than 4 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them; reply HELP for help.
6. How long we keep it
As set out in our Data Retention & Deletion Policy. When an employer leaves Zipplee, its data is deleted on that schedule.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited by role, and every employer’s data is kept separate from every other’s. More on our Trust & Security page.
8. Your choices
- See and correct your information through your employer’s Zipplee hub, or by asking your HR team.
- Ask for deletion or a copy of your information by writing to us; where we act for your employer, we pass the request to them.
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell employers before the change takes effect.
